Nuclear Proliferation with North Korea and Iran

August 27th, 2007 by frank · No Comments

The problem of nuclear proliferation with North Korea and Iran.

I believe first of all that the United States has no intention of invading either country to stop their development of nuclear weapons. The Congress and U. S. Citizens would not approve of it at this time. What I suggest the President do at this time is the following;

1. At a national press conference explain to the American people and the world that they do not want either nation to make any further development of nuclear weapons.

2. Explain that we are open to all diplomatic discussions they wish to have but these discussions will not delay any of our actions or conclusions.

3. Increase as much as possible both diplomatic and economic sanctions against both nations.

4. Announce that since both nations are pursuing nuclear weapons that the United States from this point on will believe that both nations have nuclear weapons.

5. From this point on until both or either nation stop their nuclear ambitions through allowing immediate, unconditional and unannounced inspections of all their nuclear sites any nuclear attack upon the United States or its vital interests will be deemed as coming from these nations and that within 24 hours of this attack the United States will use its strategic nuclear weapons and tactical nuclear weapons to destroy both these countries.

6. We would invite immediately all countries concerned with this problem especially the neighbors of these terrorist nations to join us in both diplomatic and economic initiatives to stop their development of nuclear weapons as they would be also effected by this policy, and I am aware of China being a neighbor.

I believe the above actions are necessary at this time because there are no further actions short of full scale military action that will stop these nations nuclear ambitions. They must be made clearly aware of the consequences of their actions.

Conservatives and Social Security

August 24th, 2007 by frank · No Comments

When the discussion turns to Social Security Conservatives and Republicans should do one of two things; shut up or say as little as possible. We know that the only workable solution to the social security mess is to privatize all or part of it. But we also know that the minute we mention this the democrats and the main stream media go into apoplexy and demonize us as wanting to dismantle social security and throw all our elderly out on the street and to starve them to death. Now we know this is nothing but political tripe and what we want is for our elderly who have paid massive amounts into the social security to receive the highest benefit from theses payments as possible and the only way for that to happen is through the private sector and give each and every American some control over their payments.

While we know and believe that the above is true, there is no way a conservative or a republican can propose this and survive an election. What we have to remember is the phrase from back in the 1970’s; ” only Nixon could go to China.” To the uninitiated what this simply means is that only a staunch anticommunist, as Richard Nixon, could open a dialogue the Communist regime in China. If a democrat tried to do it, the Republicans would have destroyed him as soft on Communism.

We are basically in the same situation now with social security. The system is broke and going deeper into debt every day. We continue to borrow funds to keep up with social security payments being currently made. We all know the changes must be made to have the social security system survive.

As conservatives we must realize that no matter how obvious it is to us what is needed to fix the social security every time we make the proposal the democrats and the media demagogue the issue and set it back ten years. What we as Conservatives need to do is simply shut up about social security until a courageous and popular democrat comes on the scene and makes the proposals needed to save social security and then back him up with all the political power that can be mustered.

Fix the Illegal Immigration Problem

August 24th, 2007 by frank · No Comments

How to fix the illegal immigration problem in this country:

1. First of all pressure must be put on our politicians to fix this problem simply through legislation.

2. Congress and the president must pass and sign legislation that demands all employers to secure social security numbers from all employees and immediately submit them to the social security administration to verify that they are legal cards.

3. Allow the computer connections between social security and the agencies of our government that are responsible for our security to be legally allowed to cross check these cards. This will immediately identify the potential employee as an illegal alien or someone on a terror watch list.

4. The employer’s only responsibility is to report the new employee’s social security number and if needed the employer can be allowed to immediately hire them. That way the immigration and customs enforcement officers will know where to find them and they should be immediately deported if they have no other criminal record.

5. Legislation must be passed to stop the criminal illegal aliens immediately also. This federal law will demand that anyone arrested in this country have their immigration status determined before they can be released. If a jurisdiction refuses to comply with this law then all federal funds should be immediately withheld from that jurisdiction for law enforcement purposes. If a city or any other jurisdiction wishes to be a sanctuary then let them pay their own costs of law enforcement.

Now this will not be an immediate fix of the problem but it will be a fairly quick fix. If the illegal aliens know they will not be able to get work, the vast majority of them will quit crossing our borders illegally. This will also free up thousands of border guards and immigration officials to be able to perform the much more important work of protecting the United States from terrorists.

I’m sure some of you out there can improve on this plan and if so I invite your replies and suggestions and recommend you do the first most important item in my list and that is to let your congress people and senators know of your feelings on this subject.

Health Care vs. Health Insurance

August 23rd, 2007 by frank · 6 Comments

In this my initial blog I would like to tell you about my ideas in general, at this time, and then more specifically as time goes on and situations come up or change. First of all I believe wholeheartedly that this is a conservative nation. I believe that when people are asked questions regarding this country in polls or just in discussions with others that if they limit their responses to what they know and believe personally and what is happening in their immediate family instead of infusing the media in their opinions that 70 to 80 percent of this nation is of conservative values. The people of this great nation are a good and decent people who in their heart of hearts want what is best for everyone if possible, but as in the real world nothing can work out the best for everyone all the time.

First of all let’s take on the so called “health care crisis” in this country. We are constantly bombarded by the news media and democrat candidates that there are approximately 40,000,000 people in this country without health insurance. Always remember to listen carefully when they speak of this because they use health care insurance and never the term health care because everyone in this country has access to health care whether  they have insurance or not. Granted they will have to go to the hospital emergency room for treatment and wait a period of time for care but they will receive care and the medication they need. Also what you must realize is that of these 40,000,000 people without health insurance that at least half of these people do not have health insurance because they are young and feel immortal and although they are employed and can afford health insurance they choose on their own not to spend the money for the health insurance. Also, of the remaining 20,000,000 approximately half of these people are simply between jobs and will in all likelihood have health care insurance coverage within the next 30 days when they get reemployed. These roughly 10,000,000 people are not the same people all the time but constantly change as they move from job to job.Now that leaves approximately 10,000,000 people without health insurance for many other reasons but remember they do have access to the best health care system in the world, the United States health care system.

Now these 10,000,000 people are about 3.3% of the United States population. Now here is the question that needs to be put to the American people; “Do you want to have the federal government take over the best health care system in the world and turn it into socialized medicine to the detriment of 96.7% or roughly 290,000,000 of our total population of approximately 300,000.000 citizens?” I firmly believe the answer will be to leave our health care system alone. If there are some changes that can be done to improve it then debate it and do it but do not destroy it.
